ShareView Research is owned and operated by Karen Flake and Anne Smith, who bring complementary skill sets to the table Karen offers professional research services through Karen Flake & Associates, while Anne manages operations though her business, Field Management Specialists.
Anne Smith
Ms. Smith received her Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in the field of Consumer Affairs which encompasses a business and management curriculum with a minor in management. She has prior experience in the travel industry and spent ten years as an administrative assistant for the customer service department in a small corporation. Ms. Smith joined Lou Smith as a partner of Field Management Specialistsin May of 2006 and became a owner of the business in January 2008.
Karen Flake
Ms. Flake is highly experienced researcher with a Masters degree in Interpersonal & Organization Communication. Her first career was as a secondary teacher, which she left when she completed her Masters in 1987 and became associated with a research firm. In this capacity she conducted both qualitative and quantitative research. In 1996, she became an owner and CEO of Flake-Wilkerson Market Insights, a fast-growing, highly successful custom research firm, which she sold to Market Strategies International in 2007. In 2009, she opened Karen Flake & Associates, a custom research firm offering a suite of qualitative/quantitative research services. Ms. Flake is also an active community volunteer with considerable experience leading and chairing non-profit boards of directors. Her facilitation skills are honed by her participation on committees and in board meetings/retreats.
Ms. Flake has moderated focus groups and conducted executive interviews on behalf of clients, such as:
